Well the time has finally come. My tank is empty, and we moved it out this morning. We did an initial cleanup but it is not perfect. The tank is fairly scratched up, it was used as a sea turtle tank before I acquired it and those suckers must have some sharp toes. It looks great from a couple feet away, but once you try to take a pic of a coral through the front glass it becomes obvious how many micro scratches there are. I resealed it about 8 years ago and it has been running perfectly since then. It has an external bean animal overflow setup with a good sized, almost coast to coast, internal overflow. Back of glass is painted dark blue.
The stand is just a 2x4 stand based on the rocket engineer design. It is very open, but I had always planned to skin it, to make it more furniture/ cabinet like. Ready for you to finish up where I left off.
I am located in San Marcos, about 2 blocks south of Aquatica.
Price is 100 bucks and I will help you load it. Two of us should be able to get it in a truck/ van/ trailer no problem. Don't bring a Miata, and expect it to fit.
