      Show off your sump!!!!

I know I’m not the only one that has the filtration in a separate room, so if you have your sump in a garage, or a fish room, show it off! Let’s see all these setups!

      I’ll start with mine.

I have a 180 gallon display that’s in my living room, with the plumbing going into my garage where all of the filtration is, along with a 60 gallon display refugium, and a MASSIVE oversized chiller that’s wall mounted. I run a calcium reactor, carbon reactor, and a ato, nothing else. Everything was plumbed together by myself and my friend jimmy aka jhamilton619, and I can’t begin to tell you how much easier this has made my life when it comes to maintenance. I don’t use any type phosphate remover, or anything and my phosphates are undetectable with my Hanna tester. Refugium for the win! Let’s see your sump/refugium !!

Hat goes off to my buddy for this one. Hands down one of the most elaborate tanks ive yet to see. It took alot of hard work and patience but i think we nailed it. Hopefully one day ill have a tank this nice. Most definately a little jealous hahahaha
I have never seen coral grow as fast as it does in your tank.

Here is my sump, it is attached to my tank. My tank is 28 gallons and it looks like it is about 10% of the tank so I think it is around 3 gallons

I see you're in Santee. Any excessive water evaporation /topoff or temp issues with sump in garage? Would like to do the same when I get back in the hobby, possibly even have display in garage.

I definitely do not have any issues with temperature, if you look at the very first picture I posted, that is a massive chiller that’s mounted up on the wall above the sump. My evaporation is pretty normal, maybe above average because the frag tank, but I go through about 10 gallons a week, maybe less. I have a 20 gallon freshwater drum that I use for my top off

      Show off your sump!!!!

Here’s mine. Plumbed through the wall into my home office. Thanks to my friend Tapio who did the entire plumbing job. Great workmanship. And in case you’re wondering the floor is porcelain tile.

That is a serious skimmer reefrf, and a nice setup. Everything you need right there. Paper towels and tools all easy to access when needed instead of having to dig around for things.
