I ordered it from Aquatic Wharehouse. They ordered it from a local acrylic shop but I can’t remember the name.

      1 year skimmer update:

The skimmer works great! I’ve had it for a year now and can dial it back in easily after taking it apart and cleaning it. I ordered an Avast Marine Swabbie to wipe the neck 3 times a day.

I’m sorry I don’t have a current picture of it installed. I sent off the lid and Avast retrofitted it for the Swabbie. I also found a cheap Avast Marine Skimmate Locker on the forums and hooked it up. So with the frequent neck cleaning and larger container for skimmate, I don’t really mess with the skimmer but maybe once a month to give the cup a cleaning. I love the auto shut off feature if the skimmate locker gets full. I also found an extra skimmate cup and lid on the forums, just in case.

So I saw this tank in person, this is a first class setup. Really a dream build. You did an amazing job with the sump area and your controller board. I look forward to seeing more of this thread

Overdue update. The tank has had its ups and downs as far as corals. Alk swings have kept things from growing out as well as they should but it seems like everything is pretty level now. Sps are starting to take off after having the Trident for a while and getting the PH closer to 8.

I picked up some new lights during last Black Friday and made a canopy for the T5 hybrid and Hydra 32 combo. I think this will also help out with any shaded areas.

Thanks. I cleaned up the wires going down from the canopy and they’re almost not visible.

I printed out a bracket for the Trident and hung it up so it’s now out of the way. I’ll be redoing my board soon to accommodate some changes in powerheads that I’ve made.
It’s amazing how much 3D printing and reef keeping can work hand in hand.

Love the canopy. I’m planning on making one almost exactly like yours. How much does it weigh if you don’t mind me asking

I tried to keep the weight down as much as possible being that the canopy was going to rest on the AI hybrid frame. That is the reason I made it with 1 x 2s and skinned it instead of using pine boards. After everything was said and done, it weighed 40 lbs according to my luggage scale.
