      big gash on female clownfish

      Hi All,

I have a pair of DaVinci clowns. I noticed last night the female had a big gash on the side probably from one of my tangs while protecting their eggs. Is there anything I can do? I fed heavy last night and the female still swims and eats like normal. Will the wound heal by itself without medication?

How deep is it? I would not really worry that much about it as long as they are healthy and you have good water quality, which I am sure you do knowing and seeing your tank. Just keep an eye on her but it should heal on its own. My tangs get battle wounds from the spur time to time and I just monitor them. You would be surprised on how quickly it heals on a healthy fish.
