Hello everyone,
I tried looking online and just came across discussion of the clear/white stringy slime that frogspawn has when irritated.
Our tank has been up for about 9 months. Water parameters: ammonia: zero, nitrite: zero, nitrates: 5, calcium 500, alkalinity: 9, salinity: 36 ppt, temperature: 79. Mix own water with Red Sea Coral pro salt mix and RO/DI water.
We bought the frogspawn from a tank breakdown and it has grown/thrived since. At that time, there was no white growth. Currently, 18+ heads.
The white growth looks like short pieces of spaghetti and the consistency is a little bit harder than cooked noodles.
We are wondering if it could be fungus or something else that we need to address. The other coral and fish seem to be doing well.
This is a picture right after the lights came on.
Any help is appreciated!
Anyone seen this before or know what it is?
