I googled Florida Damage and got all kinds of information on previous hurricanes and almost nothing from Irma.

Yeah, I was kind of hoping that the news media were correct and the storm would peel 20' of top soil from Key west to Miami. I was looking forward to a lot af new reef habitat to explore where the old state of FLA once was, but nothing happened yet somehow "climate change is still real."

There are people online actually insinuating that the road to the keys is closed because there was no hurricane and the government is trying to hide the lack of damage.

I of course encourage this sort of thinking, to make them even crazier

The government is in the Keys looting houses and then bulldozing them to hide the theft. That's why there was a mandatory evacuation so that they could loot without anybody seeing them. Because taxes are too low and never enough.
