Ricenoodle Red Sea Reefer 170

So after weeks of searching, i've settled on the Red Sea Reefer 170 for the rebuild. Equipment are starting to come in day by day and I'll be updating the progress here. The plan is a mixed reef but i'm a big LPS and anemones fan so it'll probably gravitate toward that direction or maybe even a species dominated tank So far this is what i'll be running on this system:

• Red Sea Reefer 170 Rimless
• Ecotech WR30W Pro Gen 3
• Dual MP10WQD
• Nyos Quantum 120
• Sicce Syncra Silent 2.0
• Apex Classic
• Tunze Osmolator

Bro you should try out the Smart Ato Micro it's an awesome Ato and cheaper that tunze and uses a very tiny probe. I've had mine for 2 years with no problems and run it on a 90 gallon system

That is true lol. I run the nyos 120 also it is an awesome skimmer only complaint is no drain connection for the collection cup and it took a little longer to break in then other skimmers I have owned but dead silent.

Today's UPS offerings brought the return pump and filter socks. Given the 568 gpm of the Hydra 2.0 and 43 total volume of the tank, it'll give me 13x turnover rate, give and take a few feet for head loss and it should be right around 10x, just what i needed. Any other flow will be regulated by the MP10's within the tank. FYI when you get any Red Sea tank it uses their proprietary socks at $10 a piece... But given any tank i've had i've cycled at the most 7 socks through during the life of it so it's not bad i suppose.

Could decide if i wanted variable 40 degrees flow for the output or if i wanted fixed so i got both to try out, fumble on my part to order only 1 section of locline but that's an easy fix.
