My turbo snail isn't eating this, is there something that will eat it?

This started out as a tiny spot of fuzz and I thought my turbo snail would it it but it isn't eating it. It has been here a few months so it is growing slowly, but should I just rip it out or will that make it spread all over the tank?

U might got the wrong turbo snail, mine turbo snail eat this in no time!

Really? I even put the turbo snail right on top of it and it just slithered away

Sea hare or try NoPox from Red Sea, easy to use and will help you a lot in control that hairy algae

IME, turbos and sea hares eat new hair algae. Do t know why, but I've never seen them eat the stuff that's been there for awhile.

I've had stuff that nothing would eat, and I mean NOTHING. I had a turbo crawl into the middle of it, eat a few bites then die. Never could figure out quite what it was but it looks similar to this. I tried blennys, snails, crabs, sea hairs and the only thing that worked was plucking it out and keeping the water as clean as possible.

Maybe this is a Cyanobacteria?

Cyanobacteria can produce neurotoxins, cytotoxins, endotoxins, and hepatotoxins (e.g., the microcystin-producing bacteria genus microcystis), and collectively known as cyanotoxins.

Do you guys think refreshing my CuC might help? All my crabs are gone except one blue leg hermit, so maybe a few more hermits and snails and things?

Cyanobacteria is red, and although nothing eats Cyanobacteria; what's pictured looks like hair algae. If that's all that's in your tank, just pluck it out and call it a day.

Hard to tell, but it could be Bryopsis, which would explain why nothing is eating it.
