      Show piece?

What exactly defines "Show Piece" We see this all the time in livestock sale. Curious to know what people think. I have 2 25+ head frogspawn, 50+ head toxic candy cane etc. Is it how rare? How much? Quality? Certainly not going to say how big. Lol I know how you guys are.

Everybody is going to have their own opinion because what one person "shows" another person may not. I'd say a "show piece" would be something nice enough to make as a focal point in the tank. Something that is going to stand out either for rarity, quantity, quality or color. Not necessarily ALL 4 categories but 3 of the 4 or if only 2 categories then those 2 should be amazing.

      show·piece
      This is what Google said:
      "
      ˈSHōˌpēs/
      noun
      noun: showpiece; plural noun: showpieces

something that attracts attention or admiration as an outstanding example of its type.
"the factory has expanded and become a showpiece of American industry"
      "

So technically, a really thick, long, green patch of hair algae might qualify under the title. I've got one, PIF.

I don't think that would qualify because even though it may be an outstanding example of its type it would only attract attention or admiration from a sea hare. Sorry. I'm sure your really thick, long, green patch of hair algae is wonderful but it's just not "show piece" material.

I agree opinions may vary, but for me it's anything kinda flashy or eye catchy, due to size or colors, usually something that has had some obvious time growing out.
A centerpiece, that does not necessarily have to be the sole focal point, but one that stands out, not just your typical small frag.
