Internal Overflows

I don't know where else to put this.

I'm looking for someone who can cut glass and build and install a Internal Overflow. Please let me know as I am having a hard time finding someone who can do this.

Yup, overflow out of acrylic is the way to go. Cut it to size.....heat it up with a heat gun and bend it to make the shape you need.....install and silicone it in place.

Sorry bro, I don't have any way to drill the hole.

I lent my tools out for another project, otherwise I would help build it.

Ratkiller does a great job on drilling the holes and pretty cheap (link to thread below). Just be sure you aren't dealing with tempered glass. If it's tempered you can't drill it. Ridout plastics on Ruffin Rd. has an acrylic scrap bin where they sell pieces for $2 a pound. That will probably be your cheapest option and what I always used when I did this, just don't have time anymore. All you really need is a table saw, heat, sand paper and silicone. Home depot sells aquarium safe silicone, I have used it several times over the last few years and it works great (link below, usually available in stores).

Drilling glass is tricky and it significantly weakens the strength of the pane. If the tank is tempered it will shatter when you try to drill it. If the bottom is too thin, drilling it will create a stress point that can easily fail after you fill the tank. Plastic (acrylic) is more forgiving and durable to drilling than glass, and as someone mentioned it can be bent with heat a lot more easily than glass.

Yeah same place. The change over in names has been ongoing for a while now. Maybe they finally finished. The bins are right outside the front door.
