Lol ....
Yeah that hose blows, it's 3/4 or 1" vinyl or spa flex. Bunch a tiny holes already. This spigot has some serious pressure. Unfortunately that hose is on a nipple, not threaded. Nipple seems kinda small for the pressure, watch out with the hose, you can't really pinch it like the old one anywhere near full open. I soaked myself...sort of miss checking out the surf but this is way better traffic wise. I think you can enter top of the hill too, even though maps indicate it's one way. Otherwise just head in downward wind entrance and go up to the left all the way to the top!
It's kinda by a dumpster in the corner of the parking lot. Very non descript, just two pvc ends coming out of a wall of some sort. That hose ain't long enough to coil, but you can back a vehicle in and it will reach internal drums and such in your truckbed or suv.

Jojo does your hose fit on a nipple? Otherwise your have to unscrew the nipple, i'm not sure they want us doing that.

Thanks for reading this!
So I read through the thread today, tried to use the pin drop location but my google maps didn't work. I drove for a few mins just looking for the location... to make things easier for anyone who hasn't been there.
La Jolla Shores Drive
Right onto Shellback and the hose is straight ahead next to to the fenced in area.

It's one of these either 3/4" or 1". You'd need a wrench to unscrew it.

What kind of Amsterdam Street Nipple Clamps do I need to get my hose strapped onto their free filling gusher? Where do I get one?
The whole Scripps experience has turned into an inland nightmare since they kicked us off the Pier. I might even start mixing my own again.
