Green Gigantea Anemone & Egg Laying Snowflake Pair -$400

Have a large (20"+) green gigantea anemone for sale. Anemone comes with a mated pair of snow flake clowns. Have had gig for 2+ years. Clowns have been laying eggs for same length of time, every 2 weeks.

Healthy gigs are very hard to find as they do not ship well. They are bullet proof once established with no special care required. I do not feed it. They are much safer than the common Haddoni (carpet nem) as their sting is much less potent. Have never had a fish harmed by my gig.

Mine has never attempted to move from the rock it is on. Buyer must take the rock. Rock does have aptasia.

Prefer not to separate gig from clowns. Pick up only.

That's a beautiful gig, if I did not have a mag already I'd be all over that.
I totally agree it's one of the best nems to have for reasons mentioned and also agree it's only challenge besides having space is getting a healthy one, and established as yours is makes it such a score.
You should post this on RC, more experienced nem collectors, should be gone in no time over there.

Definitely jealous of your mag. That was smart the way you planned out placement. I did post on RC a few minutes after & looks like I might have a buyer. As long as it finds a good home I'll be happy.

RC = Reef Central which is a huge source of information and has international reach! Great tool to use to find out all kinds of reefing information, but I still think SD Reefs has the best local community around!

Appreciate the good words & agree SDREEFS is very unique. Have yet to have a bad experience in meeting a lot of you. Unfortunately the gig does have some space requirements so reaching out to the greater SoCal area was needed to get it a good home. Sale is pending pickup so win win. Look fwd to meeting a lot more of you as I go fwd.

Glad it seems to have worked out, healthy mags and gigs are hard to come by, and many don't want to risk or deal w/ QT and treatment that they typically need(bacterial infections) so I see a number of people on RC looking to pay extra for an established one like yours, which usually does not last long around there.
