      Stupid dog

My dumb dog licked a colony of palys I had sitting in a cooler. I was pulling a rock that had a ton of those ugly mint green palys taking over, so I could bleach the rock and kill them. I feel stupid for putting them in his reach. Now after a $65 call to the ASPCA poison control, we are taking him to the vet for HR and BP monitoring. Apparently, we will know in 12-24 hours if he's gonna make it.

Ya. Apparently the vet can't actually do anything. Just monitor and put him down before(if) the symptoms cause too much pain.

Is your dog throwing up?? Hopefully he gets better
His mouth might be numb from the toxics in the palys ....hows his breathing

      That's terrible.
This is not the first time something like this has happened, hopefully no serious harm comes, and people should be aware there's a pretty good chance your pet will lick that salty water, and of all things paly's are known to be very harmful, to humans as well.
      Good luck

No vomiting. Vet wants to give him activated carbon and anti vomiting meds. Apparently if he vomits, it ends up getting inhaled.

The worst part is, I even had a lid on the cooler. I've got kids, so I keep the corals away from them. Dog managed to flip it off.

I fee your pain man, my Great Dane puppy ate a highlighter and I had to take him to the Vet today. Luckily he'll be fine as they are non-toxic, I hope it all goes wel.
