Vegas 56 Gallon SPS Reef

Hey guys! I'm in San Diego every so often for family. First time back since I've been in the hobby.

I live in Las Vegas and have my whole life, though would love to live in California, duh. Lol.

Anyways, figured I'd share my reef with you guys. I've been stalking the forum for a few days looking at everyone's tanks. I'm beyond impressed! Not only with that, but with your feeding community. Mine consists of three Facebook groups... Used to have an incredible forum where everyone was on one group, but adults can't get along. -_-

So on to my tank build!

Lighting: Hydra 26 HD x 3 / 3-Bulb T5HO Retrofit
Flow: Maxspect Gyre-150
Skimmer: Bubble Magus Curve 5
Return: Rio 1100 (Nothing special!)
Reactor: Vertex 1.5 ZEOvit Reactor
Sump: Trigger Systems Emerald 26 Sump

I am running a full ZEOvit tank. I do love it but it can be finicky. I moved 2ish months ago so I'm still trying to find that "sweet-spot" in my dosing. But everything is growing well and happy.

I've got corals ranging from Pikachu, Red Dragon, RR Starfire, Rainbow Mille, Sunset Mille, Strawberry Shortcake, to random assorted acroporas that I've picked up that have really changed colors!








This is a before and after of ZEOvit. This acro colony also survived a wild car chase with me. I found my roommates stolen Mini Cooper (way modified) and I was chasing it around after I picked up this Acro. The bucket fell over in the car and spilled water all over, leaving this Acro with no water for 30+ minutes. It looks like this today (on the bottom)


Here were a few acro frags I picked up at our Spring Bling in Vegas. I had about 4-5 more I couldn't grab solid pictures of with my phone.

Looks amazing, nice job. Zoas look nice and full and grow out in the forest of sticks will really fill it all in. I'd suck them but let out asap before they pop, I just went threw a tear down after a year of fighting them.
Question(s), is that a yellow porities to the right of the fox face? How big is the display and what r you dosing zeovit wise?

My Bubble Algae is out of control and I'm pretty confident I just need to let it be and deal with it lol. I've done so much and it just won't go away. This has been a battle for 1+ years now .

It is not a yellow porities. It's a Hyacinth that I'm waiting to color up. I might have to increase my intensity to get it to be more red/pink. It's greenish right now.

And here is my dosing regimen:
ZEObac - 2 Drops daily for two weeks after
stone change/add
- 2 drops twice a week after two week
transition
ZEOfood - 2 Drops Weds/Saturday
ZEOstart - 0.2ml Daily (Morning/Night)
ZEOlites - 0.6 of stones from bag in reactor
Shake twice; morning and night.
- Change stones after 6-8 weeks
- Reactor on timer for 3 hours on/off
for two weeks. Then on 24/7 after.
Flatworm- 1ml once a day
Stop
K-Balance- 2ml once a day
Sponge - 2 drops daily

Yeah it was funny. I had NO gas so I got off the freeway to fill up and ran into him. His Mini Cooper smoked my Camaro at the time lol. Two days later we went to go look at a car replacement and we found it again! He was calling me his lucky charm lol. So we stalked it and LVMPD got into a chase with it where we found it with a blown tire/shock in a parking lot. He sent it here to Cali and fixed it up, added a bigger supercharger and all. It's insane how fast it is now!
