Just a suggestion for either July or August meeting, I had talked to Paul Poeschl who is Director of Membership. He had a great lecture at MAX show this year.

"The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly Evaluating a Fish Before Purchase"

Discussing the principles going into picking out a healthy fish at the store for better overall success. Why one fish may not be as good as another and how to decipher one that may thrive from one that may soon have health issues or already has health issues.

What about a talk on feeding requirements of different coral for optimum growth and health. SPS, LPS, Softies, NPS, Anemones. I think there is some idea that coral in general filter feeds or uses light, and have heard fish stores advocating the idea that filter feeding/light is what most need. Although some do filter feed, many types of coral do better with food suited to them. This may be good topic for a meeting after harware and systems, since good water quality is key if corals are being fed.

      Topic: Do I need this?

Have you ever saw a new piece of reef equipment and wondered…. Do I need this? Well guess what? We will talk about just that. There are lots of cool things hitting the market and we will discuss the things you really have to ask yourself. Do I need it?

Hey y'all. I have a couple irons in the fire for speakers. Pm sent on the Truillo site.
I spoke to Mr Fenner a couple times this week and last. Although I'm going for a hardware centric topic, I'm looking at focusing on hardware and what it does how it does it in relationship to our little garden biospheres. Mainly skimmer dosing and maintaining water quality and how it relates to species types.
