      Military Reefers?

Out of curiosity, how many of us are active duty? Where ya stationed? Any good stories about PCSing and moving a tank?

I've always wanted to host a meeting or barbecue, but since I live on base, it makes it difficult for most folks to come over. It might be fun to do a military reef something.

I'm at Camp Pendleton as well, been here or MCAS Miramar for all 9 years so I haven't had to move a tank lol, and still active duty for 31 more days... Lol FREEDOMmMmMm

Not active, but ex-military. I was in the Navy for 8 years stationed aboard the USS Sterett CG-31, out of Subic Bay, Philippines. The scuba diving there is amazing.

Just sarted Saltwater this January. Stationed on the USS Milius on 32nd steet in San Diego. Kindda sad that I'm going to Japan at the end of 2017 so I will have to sell all my livestock.

Instead of selling your livestock, try fragging it up and giving lots of pieces to lots of people. Insurance frags! If you're ever in the area again, they'll hook ya up and you'll have your corals back quick again. That's what I've done with my three moves. Now I have friends with my corals in NC, Monterey, and TX.

      Navy 24+ years, retired now

I moved allot with tanks, from coast to coast, overseas, etc. I figured out that acrylic is best for a mobile lifestyle, after many lost aquariums.

I work on 32nd street now.

Rotten Groton, lots of great aquarium stores within commuting distance. Used to be some good ones in R.I., N.J. & N.Y., close enough to visit on a semi regular basis.
