Ultralite Metal Halide CF Combination with LED Moonlights

UltraLight Dual Metal Halide and Dual 50/50 Compact Florescent Fixture with dimmable LED Moonlights - $90

Really nice, compact fixture. Good color and very bright. Perfect for SPS or even LPS in a deep tank.

      • Dual 250w Metal Halide bulbs
      • Dual 96w 50/50 Compact Fluorescents
      • Dimmable LED Moonlights built into fixture
      • Great shimmer effect on the water.
      • Dual 96 Watt 50/50 Compact Florescent High Output white and actinics
      • Aluminum, high PAR, multi-faceted reflectors intensify the light output
      • Dual push/pull cooling fans increase bulb life
      • Remote, high performance metal halide ballasts with quick disconnects allow for independent lighting controls of your metal halide and CF lamps.
      • Protective, tempered `splash guard safety shield with UV lens.
      • Energy efficient, CF electronic ballasts.
      • Dimensions: L48" x W13.5" x H6.5"

If you have any interest in getting into SPS look around on sdreefs.com for similar setups and you'll see this is a really nice fixture for a really good price. Bulbs are about 5 months old and very bright. LED moonlights are dimmable.

All lights on. It's really bright!

      MH lights on.

      Compact Florescent lights on

      Dimmable LED Moonlights

      Post or PM if interested.

The fixture is a couple years old but is in excellent condition and has very little use. The bulbs have about 5 months on them and are extremely bright. It really is worth seeing.

So I'm getting a few looks on this but no real interest in this fixture so I'm probably just going to take it down. I'd be interested in some feedback from reefers who look and tell me is it the price, the age of the bulbs, or is everyone just going away from MH lighting? I went to Chinese box LEDs and an LED strip because I'm not doing SPS but I really think this is a nice fixture and would have tried these if I were. I'm the second owner. It came from a complete setup I got on SDREEFs from Leonard. He told me he had great SPS growth from them. If no one wants them maybe I'll just hang on to them in case I want to do a frag tank someday. Thanks in advance for the feedback.

I'll give you $40 cash. For me it's the CF lights and age of bulbs. 12 months max is pushing those bulbs and even if someone tells me 3-5 months I would still replace just for piece of mind. A crappy bulb (in my opinion) does more harm then no light at all. That's an exaggeration but you get my point. By the time new bulbs are put into the fixture your another $150+ into it. I personally would use for the halide only but really not sure I want to go that route. Just my 2 cents
