Can a chocolate starfish kill a harlequin shrimo?

So i thought i had lost my harlequin shrimp the other day and i found him in the back of the overflow he had been in there for im guessing 3 weeks. He looked like he had grown! I pulled him out and went to the lfs to buy him a star. I threw the star in there and immediately he went for it. That was last friday tonight i find the star alive on one of the walls and i cant for the life of me find my shrimp again?!

Is it possible this star won the battle and killed my shrimp? I know its anecdotal but has anyone else had this happen to them?

I have roughly 3 chocolate starfish in my tank with 2 shrimp. Both shrimp went missing for a good 3 days and stars were just roaming around.

Today I found them hiding under my rock, guess they weren't hungry.

How often do you feed them? They love hiding in a little under rock for me and will only come out to eat

I feed him once a month, I saw him go after it maybe had a hard time flipping over and gave up? Hopefully he is hiding, I put the star in the sump for now until I see him again

IMO, they should be fine. Just leave one inside the tank that way if they get hungry they can go hunt for it

I've never seen or heard of a starfish killing a harq shrimp tho
