      Moderator please help

      For some reason on Sunday I was unable to access my account due to network error. Now I'm trying to enter my username and password and says it doesn't exist. I tried to reset my password and says my username doesn't exist! I was a premium member that payed th 25$. What is going on??

      looks like a crash of the system somewhere (database was lost?), and a restore was done from a backup that was taken some time on Nov 4th.

      hopefully there are more recent backups, but maybe not.

      maybe someone from staff will post an announcement soon to let us know what is going on.

      Daily backups are done but without testing them, they are useless. Our SQL database got corrupt and and the recent restore didn't work. I apologize for the outage. I may consider a cluster server.

      What's a cluster server? I work for the government and I figure that I should know this!
      Anyway, I saw you were down last night, and am glad that you have returned!

      i would not cluster, but rather do a zfs back end file server. super reliable. pm or email me if you would like to know what i have done and am doing for both my personal stuff and my companies IT infrastructure. glad to help if i can.

      Bummer. Looks like I lost my premium membership status too. Just bought it on Saturday actually.
