Two of my LED strips failed on my hood, so I painstakingly replaced the LEDs on the strips. During that time I also switched to using 6 LDD drivers so I could dim them with my Raspberry Pi, and the sixth strip was for 400-420nm LEDs. Then a few weeks ago I noticed 3 strips were dead and I decided to replace all of the LEDs. I decided to glue the LEDs straight onto the heat sink instead of using the strips.
Removed old strips:
Cleaned up heat sink and marked positions of LEDs:
Glued down new LEDs and soldered one strip, tested functionality:
