So guys, I was given this file fish for free from Corallus (thanks man!) and he cleared out my aiptasia ridden tank in a day. I was going to put him up here sooner but my tank got ich, and long story short I'm doing what I can but cant set up a QT right now. (fish are getting garlic, focus and metronidazole, I'm doing frequent water changes, and running a UV sterilizer.) The ich has gone away from all but one fish in the tank. And as you all know even if no fish showed signs, chances would be that the tank still has it, but he shows no signs and is eating anything he can get, be it pellets, shrimp, clams, or krill. That being said, HE WILL NEED TO BE QUARANTINED before you can put him in your own tank. I was going to be setting up a quarantine tank and doing all that before I made him public, but it looks like thats getting farther and farther away and I would like for him to continue on his journey.
Like the title says, I want him to be a community fish. Once he has done his duty in your tank I want him to be passed on. His name is Kenny and it shall stay that way. No exceptions.. Just kidding call him whatever you want. I dont really know what the protocol for creating a community fish is, but if we could either use this thread, or one dedicated to him in order to keep track of him and know that he is living the high life continuing on his life long journey to eat every last aiptasia in the world. That would be great. I believe in him.
ONE LAST NOTE: He hasnt nipped at any corals in my tank, but all I have in it are two different kinds of mushrooms and some GSP. Corallus had said he was picking on a few things in his tank, although I dont remember what they were (pretty certain he had said gsp). So I would keep an eye on him when you have him in your tank because he may find something else he finds tasty.
