But if those are correct dimensions that's closer to 600g tank than 300g.

You can have baby sharks in a small set up like that if they have open swimming space no problem. It helps them find their food much easier than a massive tank like you'd have for the adults. They hatch at 4"-6" and only grow 6"-1' a year. Only thing is that can't be their permanent living area because they will outgrow that since they can reach a max size around 3.5 feet.
Do you have a tank size of 36x24x12?
Is your tank in a private garage or what
