Help Yellow Tang trapped in the overflow of my 120g

Well I have been trying to snatch this guy up since he was beating up my purple tang. I finally got him to go into the fish trap and when I was pulling the fish trap up somehow he swam through the hole flew in the air and landed in the overflow! Really not kidding so now I got my yellow tang swimming in there.

Any ideas how I get him out, I am no pulling the tubes out I don't think I can without seriously messing things up.

      Thanks for the help

any pics? easy or hard to access? maybe use some sort of foam filter pads to slowly move the fish up to top? that is one crazy fish flight!

Can you shut your pumps down, and then "pull the (siphon?) tubes," fish him out, and restart the flow?

Its a deep overflow plus I got bubble algae in there I really don't want to disturb. I got the return which is some kind of T and also 2 hoses putting water back in. I was thinking I could drain it but then what?

+1 If your hand fits? Don't grab, just come along side, grasp & lift. Stay calm and the fish will usually behave.

looks like you could use a net and some sort of stick to move him into the net. DON'T use your hand. they have a sharp bone near the tail that can be dangerous. they're call surgeon fish for a reason.

Lol you guys don't think I tried all that , cmon! Every time I stick anything in there he darts to the bottom so I drained the overflow my hand will fit kinda but my arm wont and the small net I have is to small and the large net is to bid. Marykymark is coming over with a shop vac and were gonna try and suck him out. I don't know if he is gonna survive that

You could fill the overflow with sand or something that sinks that will force him to the top, then grab him.
Then you could use the shop vac to clear the overflow.

Or you could sharpen a stick and spear him caveman style.
