60g cube

I picked up a 60g cube earlier this week and wanted to share my build.

Here is what it looked like when I got it



I started refinishing the stand today and scraping the paint on the back of the tank to repaint it. I also cut a new door into the side of the stand for easier access to all the equipment



I also ordered a custom made acrylic overflow box that should hopefully come in this coming week. And I plan on welding up a steel light bar to hold a pair of AI Sol lights and hide all the wiring. I'll post pics of it once I start fabricating that

Does the stand have enough support on the sides? You took away quite a bit so just making sure it doesnt buckle on you and break with the weight of it once its filled.

Yeah, I tested it out by filling the tank with water on it. I cut out plywood not the corner vertical supports. I'm going to add a section of 2x2 on the rear left corner

Who you get t from bud price?

I got it from some dude that sells them on eBay called Modular Marine for $56 shipped to my house it's 14" x 7.5" x 4"

I emailed him and he made me the custom size it took two weeks to get to me

I was able to get some work done on the tank build this weekend, I fabricated my light rack.

What are your thoughts about livestock? What do you plan on doing softies or sps? I love doing a mixture of everything looks nicer I think.

I want to do a nice mix also, mostly reef and maybe 4 fish if that.

A pair of clowns and maybe a small tang if I can get one small enough... Definitely a mandarin once it's established
