      What's this? It was in my sand

      I bought a tank that had some sand in it and last night I was cleaning it out and I found two of these moving around... the body was kind of flat.

      Bristle worm. They're beneficial detritivores, although (personal preference) I remove them on sight.

      I rekove larger leave small unless they are crazy amounts of them nothing to worry about

      and they sting too! i'm not crazy about them.

      Well the sting is from the bristle that release from their sides into your skin little warning so if grabbing use tweezers or something other than your hand

      Haha are the bristles venomous? I grabbed them out with my fingers, but they are dead now. Got squished to death

      I think they have a minute toxin or something like that but once out of skin it diminishes
