Yeah I still have a ton of frags left from the meeting, I'll post them up once they open back up in my drag tank. Some people scored some awesome deals from the frag tank. And pizza port was a great host!

We talked about it briefly at the meeting, and I think everyone was pretty keen on the idea of doing these meetings monthly. We mentioned the last saturday of each month, does that seem like a good plan for everyone? That would make the next meeting, Saturday the 29th of august. I think everyone was way more interested in meeting at fellow reefers homes, in order to checkout individuals tank setups. I think we may run out of homes to meet at so maybe we should alternate monthly meetings between LFS and reefers homes. All of the stores we spoke to were happy to host an event at each of their locations.

Anyone want to toss out some more ideas for meeting topics?

Also we briefly touched on ways to raise funds for the group. Some ideas were a small yearly membership fee, and a bi monthly raffle. Our local fish stores were very generous even on super short notice for this meeting. Unfortunately were weren't prepared with raffle tickets and such to really do a raffle this meeting. I think sancho and I will post up a new thread with the frags we still have for sale to raise some funds for the next meeting. If anyone has some more suggestions post your thoughts.

Any ideas for where and when the next meeting will be. Encinitas Tropical Fish is more than willing to help out. The owner told me if we catch him on a good day he will bbq for us. I like Mikes idea of pest algae for a topic. I have been busy looking for a new job. I am setting up a Paypal account for the club. And I am making some great contacts for group coral buys. I will have some time later this week to come up with some ideas. Until then lets see what you all think.
