      Center brace cracked >>>> help!

My brothers 90 gal tank center brace completely broke..... nothing fell on it and the tank is level..... what would you guys do.? Get a new tank which will cost a lot more because it is drilled with a center overflow, or try and have someone re brace it which im assuming will be the cheaper route......????? Thanks

"Completely broke"? Was it tempered glass and broke into pieces (stressed out!) OR did it crack and break into two pieces?
Photo might help us understand what happened.

I presume the tank was filled when the brace failed?
And also presuming this is a glass tank, not acrylic?

No expert but, if it failed once I would get a new tank. Make sure the stand is level and that the tank sits on it entirely.

As a temporary measure buy a clamp from harbor freight / home depot / lowes and clamp the tank together so it won't explode.

Depending on where / how it broke it can potentially be re-siliconed. But, if it has broke / come apart once it is more likely to do so again..

Everything is level, nothing fell on it, it is glass, and yes it's been running for maybe two months

This happened to my friends 8' long 300g
We drained it half down, cleaned it up and siliconed a new piece in. Then held it together with clamps for a couple days.
It's been running for a year or so with no problems.

I'd have a pro do it.
