gsp not growing in 6 months!?

hey guys, I've had a piece of branching gsp since November and it hasn't grown a single bit. all it has done was attached a branch to the rock it's on but nothing else has happened. I ended up fragging the branch that grew on the rock and moved the main chunk to a new spot with a little more flow. I've heard a bunch of different methods but sugar nothing has worked. if anyone knows any good ways to grow them better, let me know. thanks, Dylan

How old is the tank? Gsp grows well in a tank that's a bit dirty. When I first had my gsp I had little grow and now that my tank has been running for a year it constantly grows

They love dirty tanks. Clean water and thy barely extend. Had a 180 I neglected and they grew like mad. Transferred to the 80 cube and was able to keep an eye on it and they stalled.

As you should. Slightly elevated nitrate levels. In my 180 it was bad. Really bad. I was so busy with work and school it was so neglected. They loved the dirtiness. When I moved to sps LNS they stalled out. Barely extended. They are kind of like Xenia. Dirty tanks=out of control repro. One thing with gsp is once they take off they will grow everywhere and super fast. You may post later on that says how can I stop them haha.
