      Cadlight 8g Nano

Here is a little frag tank I put together. I seem to be having some trouble with some of the corals, not opening all the way. I have a feeling it's with the lighting I'm using. I'm currently using a AI Nano, I was wondering if there's any suggestions with the max percentage I should be using with each color. I currently have cool white at 40% max during noon, Soft blue at 80%, and Royal blue at 80% as well.

What would you say would be a good dose amount for a 8g nano?

I would just leave it to be honest with you water changes will take care of it. It's a small system you shouldn't need to dose. With the water changes your adding everything it needs. Had many nano tanks and when you start dosing you can mess up water chemistry real fast.

I had the same issue with some of my corals. I have a plumbed in frag tank. Lighting is the same but less water (6" deep frag tank) so lights are more intense. It took them awhile to get accustomed to the light but opened up fully. I also started feeding my corals more regularly and everything is big fully open and happy now.

it's true. ASD told me the same. at least, with
weekly water changes like i do. it's too easy to
mess up the water chemistry with such a small system,
like nano said. i use high quality water. i think if you are
going to dose, you need to know what the hell you're doing. ha!

      (i do not.)

I would say most a couple days. My sunnyd's about 10 days. And my gold Midas took about 3 weeks. But opened back up. I thought they were gone. I moved them back to my main tank once so it might have taken longer because of that...
