      Led conversion?

Ok so while driving home tonight from work I was thinking about my upgrade. I have a extra chinese 120w led blue and white. Has anyone looked into or done a conversion on these two full spectrum? Just a thought as I want to go full spectrum on my new build. I will look into it more this weekend. Maybe take it apart to see how involved it would be. Thanks in advance.

Yes, I have seen a guy who swapped led emitters on one of the China box setups. Just need to do a little testing and make sure what the forward voltage and amperage draw is on the current leds and swap them for a colored one that matches. I'll try to get a picture of one of one of my disassembled China box fixtures.

Thanks I want to keep my build simple and cheap (if that's even possible). But building my own fixture is pretty expensive I might as well by the 165w china box new... Looking at all the leds alone to build 3 was $150 just for the leds, no shipping, power supply, dimmer, heat sink.

With the white and blue you have 2 channels and 2 drivers. If you can find colored LED's that will work , the issue is they will be at the same intensity as the string you adding them to. I run my reds and green no higher than 25%. That might be your challenge.
