Going to LA today

What fish stores should I go to? Are there any "Must See" tropical fish stores there?

Just went up last week. Went to a few near Katella.

Reef Lounge is okay... large fish selection, some good some 'meh', I liked it because it feels like an old school fish shop in the back. Good prices on some stuff ($25 leopard wrasses!)

Amazing Reefs is *amazing*. At least to me. I don't know what they sell, livestock wise. No prices, almost everything was a display tank. Small shop, maybe 10-15 tanks, but each one was crazy. Clam that was like a foot long, grandis palys that were damned near baseball size, giant red carpet nem, very cool and clean shop. Worth fifteen minutes if you happen to be driving by.

Another one called Tropical Fish or something... pass. Had great Yelp reviews but it's a standard pet store.

All of these are within a couple miles of each other.

Ellis aquatics had some nice SPS when I was there a couple weeks ago. I also picked up a Powder Blue tang and a Purple Tang from Reef Lounge.

Check out chance of coral. Reef lounge for fish and low-mid grade coral not sps (although their costumer service is poor!).

The issue was they told me they have a ph probe i needed for my carx and i drive 35 mins then they said they don't have one!

Every time I plan a la trip I usually post a wtb post on socalireefs I always find what I'm looking for some good deals
