they can even touch each other... that goes with frogspawns too....
yes you can keep them next to each other but I would watch them carefully. Torches are the more aggressive of the two (actually most aggressive of the whole family) and can sting other members of the family. I think it usually works out ok but I would just keep an eye on them. My torch stings my clowns so I know it can sting other corals too.

@ Jason, thanks for the head up, especially about sting the clown.
No problem, and don't worry too much about the clowns. It may sting them but they can take it. You may just start to see little black spots on them if they hang around the torch. They will grow immune over time and the spots will disappear.
