LIke the title states. The SID shows up as expected but when I "plus the head unit directly into the SID" is shows up as ???????? and can not be accesses. Already posted to DA forum and nothing yet. Anything? Dave?

      Thanks in advance,

The serial number in it is corrupted. During the update process there should be a dialog box that allows you to input which module you are updating. Put in the appropriate name and it should update fine. I don't have a system in front of me to verify what the dialog box actually says but I will look at it tonight.

I'm not home right now but will be in about two hours. When I plug the RKL in the big dialogbox pic shows the SID but nothing else. I'll look a little harder and take some screen shots. Does this thing have to do with a two way female RJ 11 connector? My SID is 2.0 and I'm plugging the head unit directly into the SID unit.

There should be a little box with female/female that is supposed to go between the sid and head unit also.

What does the SID look like? It should have a USB tab on one side and a cable with an RJ11 jack on the other. That cable should plug into a female to female RJ11 coupler so that your RKL can connect to it.

Good morning. Since I'm a Mac person, the only pc I have is a dinky little Inspiron powered mini laptop that's 6 years old. A pop up window eventually was identified which allowed me to ID the RKL unit and give it a generic SN and load it. Thank you all for the help. Yes it is the newer SID that does not require the "gender bender" adapter. Thanks again, now to get that Calc reactor running!!!
