      Ordering fish online

Has anyone ordered fish from any local online stores?
What online stores would you recommend

I'm with Dave...Live Aquaria and/or Diver's Den (same company). I have also ordered fish from Saltwaterfish.com and had good experiences with them.

I've used LiveAquaria, Saltwaterfish, and Petsolutions, all with good experiences. Nothing beats LiveAquaria though....

Why not support your local LFS? I have had success with AW,Ship Wreck Cove and Aquatica's fish. I would buy anything from them again. Even high end stuff.

I also buy locally, very much. Sometimes what I want happens to be online though.

For example, I've never seen a Chaetodon paucifasciatus locally.... not super high end; stores just don't stock such a random fish

+1 locally but sometimes the pricing or the livestock availability makes that hard but it is nice seeing what you are buying before it arrives. It is priceless especially on corals to see the livestock in person as the pictures can be very misleading.

Something that common you should be able to find locally. Where do you shop?

Find out when they are ordering or picking up orders and talk to them...any local LFS usually will look for you. Then you can meet then at their shop when they return and keep it in bag or let it get acclimated at their shop first. I have purchased online and now that Saltwaterfish.com does not ship priority, my FedEx drops it off like a normal package hence a few dead specimens. Then the online place gives you a store credit to pain yourself all over again. Easier to just check a few local stores IMHO.

Mandarins I would lean locally for sure and make sure it is eating, they are ich magnets and don't fair well if they aren't eating. I think you are going the right way on that fish locally for sure as I lost one from my pair.
