Kayla has met another one of her sports goals. After 7 years of playing softball she was offered a college scholarship. Full ride for 2 years of softball and then a full ride for 2 years of ROTC. She has busted her ass to get to this point!She will play for Marion Military Institute in Alabama then transfer to Alabama University for 2 years, and then go into the US Army as a Commissioned Officer. She's 16 years old and has her head on straight. At 16 i didnt have a plan...

To say the least, I'm VERY proud of what she has done, what she is going to do, and the person that she is!

If I could go back in time I would have done what your daughter has done. I wanted to be a Pilot but at the time I did not want to join the military....I spent $50k plus learning to fly, just to become a flight instructor and never making enough to live off of. I am 40 years old now, I no longer Fly for a living and regret not listening to the Air Force recruiter. But hindsight sucks. Congratulations for raising you kid right! You have done all the right things as a parent. I now have 2 little ones. One is 6 years old the other is 9 months. I can only hope that my life experience can make them better people.
