      RW-15 or Maxspect Gyre

Anyone run either of these? If so, any thoughts/feedback? Debating one or the other for a standard 125g (6ft long) peninsula reef setup..

      Any/all comments welcomed, thanks.

The Gyre looks really nice. Although all the tanks I have seen it in have no sand in the bottom. That thing puts out a ton of flow. My worry is that it will also put sand all over the tank. It is a brand new product. It needs some improvement. As long as I have been in this hobby I have learned not to buy first gen anything. In 6 months to a year they will have a upgraded version. I would wait till the next gen comes out. Although I do like it, it is the first new idea in a while for water movement.

I dont think Maxspect is a sponsor on this forum. So with that being said I might be able to get these at a group buy price........ehhhh....ooohhhh..ahhhh...errrr...Ser iously I dont want to make anyone mad or break the rules. My goal is to get products to our local forum at a good price. So if it is all good maybe I include these in my December group buy?????? SD reefs mods?

I use 3 RW-15 and 2 RW-8. Works fine for me, lots of flow, decent controllers. Can't beat the price. The Gyre is interesting but can't see myself spending such money on a first generation new product.
