      Ick Outbreak

      Hi guys,

I am experiencing an ick outbreak in my 20g reef, all my fishies died. If I not introduce anymore fish for 30 days, will this get rid off the ick?? are there any medications to treat ick in a reef tank? Tanks in advance!

Don't worry about the temp or the lights. The only thing the temp would do is possibly speed up the life cycle of the ich. It is best to run your tank fishless for as long as possible, I just went through this almost a year ago and ran my tank fishless for 12 weeks. If there are no fish then you don't have to worry about getting any meds because the ich needs a host to survive. If you have any questions feel free to pm me and I will help you out as much as I can.

I hate Ich with a passion, ( raises fist )... make sure you run the tank fishless for awhile bud.. like Jason said.. the longer the better.... the last thing you want is to have a nonoccurrence on that nightmare ..... good luck

I moved it. If you see something like this just shoot me a pm or report it and I'll get it fixed. There aren't many of us mods on here so we don't catch it all.
