DC1 and APC modules

I bought a RKL and it is the cheapest version and controls simply my lights and temperature. After some frustration I finally figured out how to set it up. They really should provide a little better quick start guide, but that is what everybody seems to say. I am thinking of adding the DC1 and APC modules to be able to control 4 Jebao pumps.

One pair of pumps is in one aquarium the other pair in another. How sophisticated wave patterns can be created and can it sync the pumps in both tanks to create opposing and random wave patterns. That is not clear to me from any forum post or in DA literature.
