Do you use any type of drops like phytopheast or any at all?also what foods do you feed(frozen, flakes, etc). Water charges how much and how often how lomg and intense do you run your lights? Led or what type of lights? Soo many factors to reduce and eliminate h.a.

But I asked if you drops of foods or frozen because some things are bad for your tank in high doses or when added to often I used phytofeast and hour hair algae stopped did water changes lowered intensity and reduced hours of lighting for a week started to disappear

The hair algae is the result of too much nutrient in your tank. You can put something in the tank to eat it and it will temporally mask the problem. But what you put in the tank to eat the algae will turn it into poo. Poo is not good. You need some algae eaters in your tank. But you need to find out what caused it. high Nitrate and Phosphate levels will cause it. Are you running a bio pellet reactor? Are you using RODI for top off water?

Frozen food when thawed release all kinds of problems strain them with rodi water or water from tank in a sink and then introduce the food. Other food drops don't always go by directions unless you are running a great skimmer and cuc.
Lighting and water issues contribute to continual growth of hair algae but the lighting is only a contributor to growth not a direct source of start.

Hope you get it handled soon. Good luck.
