      You have 410 total water volume. Fish get better with water conditioner and water change. Standard test parameters are good. I would say its a dissolved solid in the water. I would keep doing water changes of 40 gallons each and keep running the carbon.

      Just curious, what kind of salt(water) do you use in the system? (Possible source for a dissolved solid issue.)

      I am a new reefer, but I was reading a book about a pro that lost several fish due to him having a bad hydrometer. He was putting way too much salt in the water. And I know, from testing my own aquarium, that the reagents in the test kits DO go bad. I had to replace my nitrate test kit that I inherited with my tank. It sounds like you already did this, but make sure that you are getting all your levels tested by two different sources to make sure they match.
