      Bioluminescent corals?

      Hey guys. im trying to find some bioluminescent corals. Do you guys know any species?

      Exactly, that's what I was getting at. Just about all the corals we have in our tanks have fluorescence under blues and UVs. Bio-luminescence is different and something I haven't seen before in the aquarium trade.

      Guess I dont understand the video I watched showed divers shining blue light at corals and they glow so

      Yes, that's an example of fluorescence. Bio-luminescence would not require use of a secondary light source. If they continue to shine after the light source is removed it is an example of phosphorescence, like the glow in the dark stars you put on a kid's ceiling.

      Most all the popular corals in this hobby have some degree of fluorescence, so just pick something that has colors you like then adjust your lights to get the glow you desire.

      Your correct he means fluoresce, bioluminescence is a chemical reaction within the animal to emit light whereas fluorescence need a blue light to give off the effect. I don't think there are any known bioluminescent coral.

      I think me and the op saw the same video they called it bioluminescent when they glowed under the blue light
