Need Help Quick With RKL an PH probe

I go sick of dosing and went out and got a calcium reactor. I purchased an SL2 and PH probe for the reactor. The problem that I a having is that when I go to calibrate with PH the packets the numbers do not move to calibrate it. What I need to know is, is the probe bad or is it the SL2. I looked all over the internet but could not find this problem anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

      Thanks
      Kevin

What steps are you taking when you attempt to calibrate it? Are you using 7.0 and 10.0 packets? You can not calibrate the ph probe using 4.0 packets. The ph probe on the SL2 currently does not support probe calibration below 6.0. There should be an update to correct this out in a month or so. Otherwise, the raw data numbers should be moving when you put the probe into the solution. List your steps here and I will see if I can help you out.

I am using the 7.0 and 10.... The numbers do not move though... Nothing moves.

Do you think it is a bad probe?

Still need to know what your steps are that you are doing to calibrate. What is the raw data number that is showing?

      1. Menu> modules> SL2
      2. PH Probe > calibrate
      3. Calibration 7.0. Raw numbers read 1935... No movement on raw numbers
      4. Calibration 10.0 raw numbers read 1935... No movement on raw numbers

      Hope this helps

Don't take it the wrong way, but I have to ask...Did you remove the protective cap/bottle on the end of the probe? If not, then that is your problem.

If you did, then I would send an email to support@digitalaquatics.com because it sounds like the probe is bad.

LOL... No worries. Yes i did remove it and rinsed the probe in RO/DI.... I have ran a ph probe before with my RK2 in my old system. I have not had one with the RKL

I had a bad RK ph probe right out of the box. Would not calibrate or lower the values. Good luck

So I got the new probe in today and went through the steps. With the 7.0 fluid the raw data stopped (slowed) at 445. When I went to do the 10.0 fluid it stayed at 1935 and didn't move.... What gives:???

Its a long shot, but I would reload the firmware in the SL2. If that doesn't work, then you will need to talk directly to DA using the email referenced above. I'll be seeing Eric from DA this weekend at MACNA and I will ask him about that just in case.

Thanks bud I appreciate the help!!! There is one last thing I going to try and that is getting some new calibration fluid and see if that works... Maybe the 10.0 fluid wasn't any good
