Hola folks...
Haven't been on here for awhile, lots of fresh faces. I've been trying to sell my 240gal for some time, and wanted to sell it all at once. Mostly, to keep from having to deal with "parting it out" and the many hassles that come with it. I didn't want to have to do so... so this is more-or-less a feeler for a full livestock parting out.
What do I have to part with??
Well... I don't have a recent picture but the tank is stocked with softies, some easy to care for SPS and about 25 fish (Red Sea Sailfin, Purple tang, Naso tang, wrasses, flame hawk, etc, etc), as well a nice healthy and X-Large Rose nem with a pair of mated Maroon clowns.
Here's some pictures from Mid 2012, July I think;
(I've lost a few fish, and some corals have been heavily trimmed back... but you'll get the idea):

Most of the larger corals are larger (no frags in the main tank), and attached to live rock. Some of the frogspawn can be broken off, etc. If it can't be broken off, and if the live rock is huge... the rock (and coral) will be weighed and sold at $1/lb.
I know I'll be asked; "Do you have a list?"
And no, I do not. Can you imagine listing ALL the livestock in that tank?! UGH! I quiver just thinking of it. One of the reasons I'm scared to do a breakdown of this size. Also, I'm not sure how to price anything, and I really don't want to make a list. I'm thinking of setting days/times of being "open" to you to just come by (with a wad of cash - please don't bring $5 and think your getting a 5 head frogspawn, or that you'll buy one head of a 10 head!). Not sure how else to do it, until the corals start to sell off and when I don't have many left... I'll then list what's left.
Of course, Fish will go last... after the live rock is gone. But I'm willing to hold your fish if you want to PREPAY in FULL for any fish you like. (Some fish I can catch in my trap... some, not so easy. If I can catch the fish, I'll let you take it at that time. No need to wait)
Once all the fish are gone, and all corals/liverock/etc I'll be selling off the equipment. Again, if you want something from the equipment side of this sale... best to pay in full now, and I'll hold it for you until I can empty the tank and shut down the pumps.
Just know, that list doesn't cover all the MANY things I have to sell. I've got spare pumps, nets, chemicals, LED lights, fish trap, test kits, etc. etc. A closet full of aquarium related stuff. All of this stuff will also go up for sale once the tank pumps are shut down (but not before). At least 50% off retail for most items.I do have a high-level list on Craigs... which is of the following;
- 240gal Main Display (Acrylic tank 8'x2'x2' - no scratches, perfect shape)
- 135gal glass sump (30gal refugium) 6'x18"x23"
- ASM G5 protein skimmer (36" tall, ran by two Sedra 9000 pumps)
- 54W UV Sterilizer and pump
- (4) Custom fanless 120W LED Pendants wirelessly controlled and on timers.
- 800W heater
- 2200 APC Back-up Battery Power (UPS)
- (3) Magdrive 1800gph return pumps (Mag18)
DIMENSIONS (in inches);
Canopy; 99 x 26.25 x 18.5
Stand; 99.5 x 26.5 x 34.75
Tank; 96 x 24 x 24
Overall; 99.5 x 26.5 x 76.25
Lastly, I'll have two frag tanks full of the simple things; Branching GSP, Kenya, Fuzzy green shrooms, Bright Green lettuce coral, Green toadstool, etc. All of these frags can be bought at anytime and again... I'm not interested in listing what's there, just come take a look. I'll make sure to hook you up, just don't bring $5 at a time. I think minimum of a $20 is required. $100 buys will get LOADED up!
I also have some dry rock (a couple 5gal buckets full). It too can be sold at anytime after the frag tank starts to empty and the main tank is selling off it's livestock.
... so, what do you do now???
Tell me your interested and serious in buying in bulk (please no PMs on this just yet, post publicly). If you are, then of course I'll start listing days I'm available (this will usually be weekday evenings between 5 and 7 and no weekends). Just please understand, I won't be giving anything away... But I'm reasonable. Don't waste my time, and I won't waste yours.
