I'm a night owl so we may bump heads at night. Trucks try to go there at night or dawn when I was there.
There's only 1 hose... don't turn the wrong valve (high volume). I almost watched a friend do that one day and yelled in panic (still don't know if he was kidding with me). He would have been washed up shore to the aquarium

There's only 1 hose but 2 valves. The big one doesn't have a hose connected to it sooo....yeah don't open that. Also, I've filled up when the trucks were filling up and I still get decent water pressure.

By the way, not sure if it was plant services or an sdreefer that put on the new valve, but thanks?

Vinny can make u a hose to hook up to the big line, it fills my 210g container in about 5 minutes.

      Ok,
I'm sure this is a "broken record" question.
I have been mixing my water for 2 years now.
I was told by AW that they would never tell people to use Scripps water.

"You don't ever know what you are getting (red tide, just rained, etc).
If you mix your own water (I.E. buy salt from us) it is safer."

Has anyone really had a problem?
I don't want to risk anything because it is free.
I want what is best for my tanks.
Will it be better or just kinda the same?
Keep in mind that my biggest tank is a 30gal.
Not much room for problems to happen.

You really don't know what you are getting in the salt mix either.

They are a store. I am with BigAir. Zero problems. Free is good. If you mix your own, you buy salt from them, and possibly DI as well. Do the math. It is after all a business.

      Is that fact?
How do you know that is fact?
(Really, I am just the kinda person that needs to see it myself, sorry)
      I know PK sells it.

Why do I feel like I have been brain washed and the "van" is trying to take me home?

I will give it a try.

Many of us have seen their truck at the pier filling up w/ water many, many times. Early in this thread, there is a list of what "should be/is" added to scripps water by our members. not all is necessary, depending on what you are keeping for corals.

I have a mixed tank. I am going to try Scripps.

I just do my research first and ask questions, then ask more questions, repeat.

Ok, I picked up water today!
      Is this still the same?
      For B-Ionic
Part 1, Use 5ml per 5gal bucket of Scripps water.
Part 2, 15ml per 5gal bucket of Scripps water.

It was cool getting the water. I got to talk to somebody that worked there and they gave me a mini tour.

That's a good starter. Personally, I dose the main tank rather than the undiluted Scripps during a water change. Don't forget to pop in some Magnesium. I've been using 6 tablespoons of Seachem Reef Adv. Mag. for every 5 gallons Scripps to get up to 1350 ppm.

If you try different products, this guy has a site that helps calculate:

For best results using B-Ionic, I would use equal parts all the time. That is how it is designed.

That is what I have done for the last two years.
      (but with mixing salt w/ro-di)
I may just keep my routine.
B-ionic + reef solution and keep testing but with Scripps.
I did do the first batch (10 gal in a 33gal can as recommended).
