Picked up a couple hundred gallons this AM...waited for after the rains, don't expect any probs with the slight drizzle we've been having.
Prob is the TEMP!...have to remember to heat that stuff now!

For those who get water from me.......
In about 2 weeks, I will be offering the delivery of "dead" scripps that will already have the salinity adjusted to 1.025 ( no I will not have it pre heated for you). Yes, for those that do not care I will still do fresh runs from the pier as well.
Will also be working on a setup for those who want to come pick it up at my house.(Faucet out front) Will post the details of that when it is ready to go.
last post was early this month (november 8), any new comments on scripps water? i just came back from picking some up. first time (soon to be) user of scripps water. anything i should know first before i do my next water change?
Take a certain amount of soiled tank water out, then replace said water with new scripps water, repeat weekly.Originally Posted by BlkStrReef

So... How does today's storm affect the waters? How long of a wait?
To be safe, I stay away from the drains for at least 1-2 weeks after heavy rainfall. Laziness helps
But you'll find a lot of people not caring... I still stay away though after the rains.
After seeing all the mud and dirt swimming around campus, I'd rather now for at least a while.
However......... My tank is sorely in need of a water change. I was planning on picking up water after class on Friday. The rain obviously changed that plan.
i went and picked up water tonight (friday night at 10pm) it was raining when i got to the hose. the water i filled my containers up with looks crystal clear. am i being fooled by the clarity? is there anything i should worry about?
