Help programming new chiller into Neptune Apex

Hello. I just purchased a chiller the other day from Aquatic Warehouse. I have never set one up before. Everything has gone fairly smooth except a few issues with the programming. I am using the Neptune Apex to control the chiller. One plug on the apex is Chiller and another I have setup for PumpChiller. My goal is to only use this as an emergency in case my tank overheats. I would like it to only come on if temps rise above 84 degrees.
I am thinking that my apex program should look like this:
      [chiller]
If temp > 84 then ON
      Defer ?
If temp < ? then OFF
      Defer ?

      [chiller_pump]
      If temp >84 then ON
      Defer ?
If temp < ? then OFF
      Defer ?

In terms of programming the chiller itself. Any recommendations here? Please help
My brain is now fried trying to figure this out. It has been a full day of reefing. Reefers now need a class in comp sci. I guess. Thanks

      Fallback Off
If temp > 84.0 then On
If temp < 80.0 then Off

Set to auto in the app, dashboard, or fusion dashboard.

Oh also, make sure the chiller is set to a temp that will come on. So if you want it to come on at 84 and off at 80 set it to 80 or lower. 78 would be a safe bet just make sure there isn't any difference in the internal temp probe on the chiller and your apex temp probe.

Got it. What about the pump for the chiller? Can you help me with that? Don't want it to be running all the time. Just when the chiller is on. Also, I have the chiller pump in sump in back of tank but there is some sand/detritus near the pump. Should I be worried of a clog? I have moved the reactor away and cleaned it as much as possible.

Come to think of it, I'd just leave the pump running so that you don't have any restart issues or stagnant water build up in the chiller.

You definitely want to leave the pump running after thinking about more. You don't want water sitting in the chiller getting funky then dumped into the tank. Also, you don't want a restart issue to cause the chiller to fail should you need really need it on when you aren't at home.
