Need a new pump for ASM G3

My Sedra 5000 has been acting up so I am planning on replacing it. I am trying to decide between Sicce psk or the Tunze 9410. Anyone with any experience with either one of these pumps, I am liking the Tunze for the low wattage use but I heard Sicce are silent. Thanks for any help.

Curious, I am going to buy a new pump for the same skimmer. Why are you not going with another Sedra?

Im using my back up Sedra now because my original pump was working great but the black shield on the power cable cracked right at the pump. Don't feel real comfortable using that pump anymore. The backup works fine but anytime I have to unplug it, I have to take it out of the water for it to spin right. Other than that the Sedra has been good, but the Tunze uses 12w vs the 50w the sedra uses and from what I've read it improves skimming on the G3. So saves you on electricity and the impeller will last years as long as you clean it routinely.

Thanks! Looking at the 2 pumps you asked about, I would go with the Tunze as well. Looks like it is hit or miss on the Sicce. The power diff and the lifespan make the extra money spent well worth it over the Sedra it seems.
