Bummer man. Wish I could make this one. Work duty calls though. People in NC definitely check out the meeting. The more support we have for NC the better off it will be for everyone!

Missed the first meeting, just found the thread... See you all tomorrow night, I look forward to meeting some people who actually understand and appreciate what I am doing. It's tiring to see blank looks on people when you know they can not really appreciate what is going on in that tank.
So there's something going on again tonight?
The meeting last night was great. As I suspected in my post above, it was really good to have some people to talk to that have tanks and you can have a real conversation about your stuff with. Thanks to Lou and Reefers Garage for hosting again. I know at the meeting I said no to hosting a meeting but that was at the beginning. I would re-consider that and would like to become involved in organizing for this group in some way if I can help. Who ever is thinking like me on this please feel free to PM me to talk about the next move.
Thanks all
We would love to have someone help us, (Louis and Fallon) keep NCRC organized. We still plan to host two meetings a month, alternating between Saturday mornings and Thursday evenings.
The next meet is scheduled for Saturday June 21st 9:00am to 11:00am at Reefers Garage we have not chosen a topic or speaker but would like to work on that openly here.
Any suggestions?
Huge shout out to everyone who came last night and made for a successful Second Meeting
A couple good topics i think would be
- sps care, tips/tricks, different species requirements
-ultra low nutrient systems , pros/cons
It was a great meeting! Human Machine gave a very insightful water testing presentation.I tried to throw him a couple of curveballs but he was prepared! Very much a "club" atmosphere.
How's a bout lighting as a subject for our next meeting?

^+1 I think lighting would be a good next topic. Good for all the new reefers as well as a nice refresher for everyone else.

Lighting would be cool. Especially because a lot of use use LED's and different ones at that. Maybe we can get someone who has been through several types of lights (I've only had T5's and LED's) and see how they feel, or maybe an open forum.
Anyone have access to a Par Meter of some kind?
