DA has some new stuff on the way!

Well it is long overdue, but Digital Aquatics is going to be releasing some new items very soon, perhaps as early as April. They should have several new items on display and working at MAX up in Costa Mesa April 5th and 6th. They are working on a new probe module that will have multiple BNC ports that will be programmable for whatever you want between ph and ORP. The new system will be switchable between 0v - 10v DC control and PWM control. It will probably have portions of it available for open source programming while still preserving the integrity of the critical firmware. They are talking about web based software control and built in WiFi and ethernet. Updating modules without disconnecting them, along with a few other things that they should have done from the beginning.

Stay tuned. And yes, the new stuff will all be backwards compatible with the current RKL and RKE modules.

The built in wifi is what I'm looking forward to the most.

In the past, management at DA felt that putting WiFi in the system was a redundancy that was unnecessary since WiFi routers were so cheap. The new folks in charge have finally realized that if the users want it, they are willing to pay for it. They have also recently worked out the agreement with Eco Tech to generate a module that will interface with both the Vortech pumps as well as the Radion and other LED fixtures that Eco Tech makes. I believe they are looking at doing this with a single module. And it will be done wirelessly, of course.

A couple other items forthcoming…A new PC4 that will have relays on all four outlets. They have already redesigned the current PC4 to not have issues with low power pumps on the solid state channels. A lot of these things should be on display at MAX. Not sure yet when they will be available, but it should be very soon after MAX. The guy I have been talking to is already designing the cosmetics for the cases that the new modules will be using.

Sounds promising. Maybe all the vortech/radion owners won't need to purchase Reeflink just to control them.

What I've been waiting for. Dave helped me though getting my wireless setup but having a built in one would be nice.
