Coral Close Up video with my iPhone 5

Hey guys, here's another one I did last night while I was bored. I'm pretty impressed with the iPhone 5's ability to get these close-up shots without any special lenses. Obviously there is too much blue in the shots but I think it still looks pretty cool. The lighting is an ATI sunpower fixture with mostly blue plus bulbs. I have a little frag tank with an LED fixture and the videos look much nicer. A lot more accurate to the true colors. I took this video with the iPhone 5, not the iPhone 5s and it's my understanding that the iPhone 5s has a better camera so you can imagine how much better the shots would be with that.

I'm starting to enjoy taking photos and videos of my tank more and more and hopefully in the near future I'll be able to get a real camera and produce a better product lol anyway, I was just messing around with it but I had fun and that's all that counts right?

That looks great! What did you use to edit the film together? Did you have the phone set on something? Your hand isn't that steady is it?

Thanks! I used the app called "capture". It's an app that caveats off of YouTube and allows you to take video or use an existing video to seamlessly upload it to YouTube. You also have the ability to add multiple clips to your video before you upload it. I just took a bunch of 15 second videos and put them all together. Only bad thing is there's no feature to make the transitions more smooth. So instead of fading from one clip to the next it just cuts from one to the next. I know there's plenty of apps out there that allow you to make smooth transitions though. Oh, and it also allows you to incorporate music into your videos. There is a "YouTube soundtrack" or you can add music that you already have on your phone.

And no my hand is definitely not that steady lol I had the phone pressed up against the glass for all of the shots.
